Dazzne P3 1080p60 WiFi Budget Action Cam Review

The Dazzne P2 is my boxy-style action camera recommendation for people on a budget. It produces good results, has a solid construction and comes with plenty of accessories in the box. Overall, it's excellent value for money.
I often receive emails from people who are considering buying the SJCAM SJ4000 but want me to guarantee that a seller on ebay isn't going to send them a counterfeit camera. Without travelling to China and inspecting their stock, my guess is as good as anyone else, as all the sellers use the same stock photos and descriptions.
The Dazzne P2 doesn't yet suffer from these counterfeit problems, it feels better constructed than the SJ4000, is more adept at handling difficult lighting situations (like driving towards the sun) and in my opinion produces better quality video overall.
The new Dazzne P3 adds WiFi and 1080p60 to the mix and naturally also costs more than the P2. It's not a replacement for the P2, it's just the next model up in the Dazzne range. Watch the video below to see if these features are worth the price premium over the budget P2.

Hi
How about testing this one
http://www.gearbest.com/action-cameras/pp_234672.html
4K video for as less as £41
Cheers and keep up the ggod work you do
4K at 10fps - might as well be 100k at 0fps. 10 fps is like looking at a flip book.
I'm struggling with editing the 30fps 4k from the Sony action cam...but I know it's the future so I'm prepared to make an effort. Although 30 fps is the minimum I"m prepared to make this effort with.
There is another P3 review, include comparison with GitUp git1, for reference.

Hey there,
my Dazzne P3 just arrived today but when I put in the micro SD card (SanDisk Ultra 64gb) it just says "Card size limit for video recording". Also when i try to take a photo nothing happens... When i turn on the camera, the blue LED lights start flashing constantly too.
I'm quite desperate since im going on vacaation tomorrow so I really want to fix this before...
I hope someone can help me.
Sir,
I was watching your video on the DAZZNE P3 where you said you tried to get the GoPro microphone adapter to work without success. I came across this on eBay, being sold by Dazzne: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dazzne-P2-P2-WIFI-P3-External-Mini-USB-to-3-5mm-Microphone-Mic-Adapter-Cable-/221888354403?hash=item33a9939863
I thought it was curious. I wonder if it actually works.
Erik
Thanks for the link. I heard they were supposed to be coming out an official adaptor, but it's the first time I've seen one. I'll order one immediately.
Hi!
Dazzne has an official store on ebay (user: dazzne), that, after you include the shipping prices, has P2 even cheaper then the links you submitted. And it is actually the makers official store (they link to it from company's Facebook account), so the chances of getting a fake are around zero.
Also they just gave away 10 mic cables on the Facebook, so some testing results should be around soon. They are said to work with P2 and P3.
One interesting point considering different sets - thanks to the availability of "barebone" set you can fit within some customs limit, so it might be cheaper to order the camera and required accessories separately.
there are after market lenses for the gopro type cameras do you know if they fit the other box style cameras like this one?
Hi,
I was wondering if you will be doing a comparison video on this camera (P3) vs the new budget gopro hero. I was looking at a action camera to attach to my motorcycle for night time use. It would be occasionally used on the race track (daytime) when i attend.
I have chosen the budget gopro hero based on the comparison video of the SJ4000. Since the gopro hero is only 140 USD vs P3 158 UDS. Would it be worth purchasing the P3 for only 18 USD more?
Thanks,
Jon
Hi,
Sorry i forgot to add. Is there another action cam you would recommend for someone in my position ? I also just looked at your review for the xiaomi-yi and i am even more confused.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi, I had one question do you know where to get the manual? I had a friend of mine purchase the camera in the US and bring it to Costa Rica and he lost the users manual no I cant setup the wifi.
Hi,
I found your reviews by chance on youtube, and I am amazed by their quality. I have the hobby of filming my own videos to be played on indoor bike trainers (i.e. tacx). When i shoot my movies, I am used to place the camera OUTSIDE the car (so no reflections from the car window), without the waterproof frame (of course there is no point of shooting in wet conditions), and in this way I can power the camera with the car electricity, and I can film as long I have memory in the micro SD card (normally 2-3 hours continuously). I own already a sj4000 camera, bought one year ago, of which I am quite happy, but as for this task the highest the frame rate, the better the results when played at variable speed, I am very interested in upgrading to 1080p60 option.
I am also interested in having wifi because I can control the camera from inside the car, adjust the view before recording.
So I was considering for a while the sj5000+, but this review convinced me that the dazzne P3 would be a better choice. However I could not see in the packaging a mount that would fit my need: open to external power, and which can stick to the external side of the car window. Unfortunately the camera has different size from the sj4000 so the mount I already have cannot be adapted. Well as the dazzne looks smaller, one option would be to handcraft some spacers to fill the gaps, but maybe you have better knowledge of alternative mounting possibilities.
Thank you for your help and advice, and congratulations for your videos.
Ciro
Do a search on eBay for "Dazzne Frame Mount" and you will find a suitable mount for the P2 which should also fit the P3.
Is the Dazzne P3 better than the P2 Plus?
The P2 plus shows 2k at 30 FPS, which the P3 does not appear to have.
Anyone experiencing extreme fogging(condensation) of the lens when in the waterproof case? The camera seems to get quit hot inside the waterproof casing and then causes the lens casing lens to fog up. I've tried a silica sachet when the camera is not in use inside the case to get all moisture out. Added some absorbing pads on the sides etc etc but the fogging issue remains.
This happened since I got the camera so it's not a case of misuse or damage.
